Along with its longtime partner, Canyon Ranch, Cunard is introducing the Mareel Wellness & Beauty spa experience.
Luxury cruise lineย Cunardย announced that Mareelย Wellness & Beauty:ย a new spa concept developedย in partnership with Canyon Ranch, will be rolled outย acrossย itsย fleet.ย Mareelย launched first on the newly-refurbished Queen Elizabeth this Decemberย 2018. In November 2020 both Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 will also undegoa spa transformation.
Mareel focuses on the healing energy of theย sea. The new brandย willย offer aย holisticย approachย withย anย extended spa treatment menuย ofย mineral-rich seawater and marine-based experiencesย as well as a redesign of theย entireย spaย facility.
Decorated in ocean hues ofย blue, green and pale coral, new offerings onย Queen Elizabeth include:
- Couples suite for seaweed bathing rituals
- Meditation room with acoustic resonance loungers
- Redesignedย multifunctional fitness centerย and studio space
- Sound therapy facilities in every treatment room
An entire range ofย ocean-inspiredย massage, body and alternative treatments will also be available and complement the aqua therapy center.

In addition, aย new range of luxury productsย willย beย introduced,ย all with sustainably harvested organic ingredients including Red Flower,ย Shankaraย andย Environ.
Mareelย willย alsoย featureย enhanced wellness experiences, including stretch andย dailyย meditation videosย shownย on stateroom TVs, wellness seminars,ย and outdoor dance and yoga classes.
The newย Mareelย Wellness & Beauty experience is just oneย of the many enhancements onย Queen Elizabeth during aย two-weekย dry dock in Brest, Franceย this pastย November. In addition to the new spa, many publicย spaces,ย barsย andย loungesย have been updated and all Grill Suites and Britannia Staterooms have new carpets and soft furnishings. The Royal Court Theaterย had a complete technical overhaul; theย Royal Arcade has been enhanced to offer an elevated shopping experience;ย andย the outdoorย decks haveย new furnitureย with a new layout on theย Sunย Deck.
