Royal Caribbean Moves Oasis of the Seas to East Coast

Bye-Bye Port Canaveral – Hello East Coast! Royal Caribbean just announced that their 5,400-passenger Oasis of the Seas will move to the east coast. It will be the largest ship to sail from the Northeast, with departures from its homeport in Bayonne, NJ.
Following a “Royal Amplification” the cruise line’s name for their $1 billion new bow-to-stern refurbishment on seven of their ships,ย Oasis of the Seas will cruise 7-night Caribbean and Bahamas cruises from Cape Liberty (Bayonne, NJ).

Port Canaveral won’t go without…Harmony of the Seasย is moving in and will sail from the Space Coast. Same for the tried and true Mariner of the Seasย beginning May 2019.
Cruise ship shuffle

Adventure of the Seasย will return to Cape Liberty, sailing a variety of 5- and 9-night summer and fall itineraries toย Bermuda, New England andย Canada, Theย Bahamasย and theย Caribbean.
Vision of the Seasย will offer three 10- to 11-night one-way itineraries betweenย Bayonneย andย Quebec Cityย with an overnight inย Quebec City.
Symphonyย of the Seasย returns to PortMiamiย with 7-night itineraries to the Eastern andย Western Caribbean.
Freedom of the Seasย moves to San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2020 and continues to be the largest ship to call San Juan its homeport. From San Juan, Freedomย will cruise to the Southern Caribbean.
Brilliance of the Seasย moves toย Bostonย in September 2020, sailing 7- to 10-night cruises toย Canada.
Staying put in Baltimore and Galveston
Grandeur of the Seasย cruises 9-night itineraries toย Canadaย and New England for fall foliage from year-round homeport inย Baltimore, MD.ย ย Grandeurย will also cruise alternatingย 5- and 9-night itineraries toย Bermudaย and Theย Bahamasย in the summer months. In the winter, Grandeur beginsย 9-night Southeast Coast &ย Bahamasย and 12-nightย Southern Caribbeanย cruises. Reservations begin onย Dec. 13, 2018.
Liberty of the Seas stays put in Galveston with cruises to the Western Caribbean. Liberty of the Seasย refurbishment takes place early in 2021.
