Carnival recently announced that their relatively young Carnival Breeze, launched in 2012, will head to the Bahamas for a two-week dry dock refurbishment. Beginning on April 16, Carnival Breeze will cruise into Freeport where the ship will get some popular Carnival favorites added.
Plaza Bar at Ocean Plaza will become the Alchemy Bar, the trendy concept where bartenders dress like pharmacists and concoct specially curated drinks, will replace Plaza Bar at Ocean Plaza
Several public areas will get a sprucing-up as well. Routine hotel maintenance and cosmetic enhancements in lounges and public areas will include new carpeting, wall coverings, tile work and lighting.
When the refurbishment is complete, the 3,690 passenger ship will return to Galveston to continue 7-night Bahamas and 7-night Caribbean cruises. On September 16, 2018, Carnival Breeze will offer a 14-night Caribbean cruise including stops at Grenada and Barbados before the ship relocates for the winter to Port Canaveral, Florida.
